Another outcome of a diminished ego-self is an intuitive and sensitized mind. You see the other’s viewpoint and can sense where he is coming from, his way of thinking, why and what he is doing or is likely to do. You are able to discern from the tone of voice and intonations, from facial cues and body language; and sense the other’s emotion and pick-out even subtle undercurrents. Besides this whereas earlier your thoughts derived from societal values and knowledge accumulated, these now do not retain a stranglehold over you. Instead what is called your conscience or inner voice or true-self now finds constant expression. You view matters in your own way with simple clarity and understanding, and see the larger picture with a mind free from narrowed perception. What’s more and this is the strangest part – more and more the answer accompanies the question; you have insights which subsequently bear out.
